Convoy of Hope has been feeding children in Tanzania since 2013. At each program center, we work with school and community leaders to build capacity-building projects with agricultural practices and livestock. Our Agriculture program uses gardening and livestock/poultry keeping to boost people’s income and quality of life.

Through our Women’s Empowerment program, Convoy of Hope’s Economic Empowerment groups in Tanzania also started in 2013. Using a contextualized adaptation of our Economic Empowerment model, participants receive training and seed capital, access to extension services, and additional training. After establishing their own businesses in a range of areas, participants have seen increases in their income. Meanwhile, our Girls’ Empowerment groups equip girls to be confident, goal-oriented leaders who will one day change their communities and eventually, the nation.
